Kimaï

A company with a clear sustainability purpose, London and Antwerp-based luxury jewellery brand Kimaï makes timeless pieces out of lab-grown diamonds and recycled gold. We sat down with co-founder Sidney Neuhaus to discuss four of her favourite pieces.

Galaxy Earring

“One for the bold, the Galaxy forms an asymmetrical orbit shape on your ear; it holds seven larger diamonds, surrounded by a different set of smaller pavé diamonds. It’s more of a standout piece that I would wear for a special occasion, not casually. If I had a wedding or something special, I would wear it with something smaller and low-key.”

Amie Bracelet

“The Amie is a looped cord bracelet featuring a sliding knot tie and circular diamond drops encased in 18k recycled solid gold. It was launched last year, and you can choose the cord in a colour of your liking. We have two versions: one with four diamonds and one with seven diamonds. With our designs, we are inspired by vintage jewellery and women in general. We love watching women around us and how their jewellery moves when they’re wearing it. We get inspiration from nature and art as well.”

Remi Ring

“The Remi Ring is a classic. I love to stack my rings, although these can be styled individually as well. I wear the rose gold with the yellow gold as I love to mix and match colours. These are also really great because you can build your collection over time.”

Unity Necklace

“A succession of 18k polished gold chains come together to meet two bold brushed gold links in the middle, holding 42 brilliant lab diamonds. We launched this necklace in September 2020. I wear it all the time as a stand-alone piece with a T-shirt. The design process for our jewellery [involves] a lot of trial and error and thinking about how we can improve the design. But because we run on a made to order model, we can make sure we’re not overproducing. We listen to our customers and what they really want and then adapt to that, which is pretty cool.”
